JewishCare's Future is Bright

Recent press statements attributed to one member of the community need to be put into context.

JewishCare helps more aged people than any other organisation -2500 per year to be precise. We provide a range of supports all of which aim to keep people in their own homes, which is the express wish of older people.

JewishCare administers aged care packages provided by the government as well as packages provided by the Claims Conference and from JCA. JewishCare also operates the JCare program which enables people to engage their own private care workers to help people live independently as possible. It also facilitates a Community Club Network across Sydney.

JewishCare is well placed to provide for the current and future needs of our community and this will be enhanced when our new purpose built headquarters in Saber Street Bondi Junction opens next year. As well as the aged JewishCare helps children and families in crisis, people with disabilities and those with mental health issues.

Overall JewishCare helps 1 in 10 member of the community. We have been serving the community for 75 years and we intend to be around for many years to come.
