Live a longer healthier life

We all know that ageing is like becoming a good red wine. Our life experiences gives us great wisdom and all of us have a lifetime of opportunities to remain physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy.

Here at Jewish Care Aged services, we  provide an emotional and physical guide to living a longer and healthier life.

We have established a healthy ageing walking group on the North Shore and the Eastern suburbs which meets monthly. We want to encourage developing a healthy lifestyle and maintaining well being.

The members of the group have developed a strong bond, the social component is an integral part of the event. All walks are followed by a healthy lunch. This is a fun group, members relax and love socialising walking, having fun and sharing stories.

The groups are growing rapidly if anyone would like to be involved in volunteering  - we'd love to hear from you! s.gabai@jewishcare.com.au

Part of healthy ageing is to engage in healthy activities.

We highly encourage light exercising and walks, yet we also encourage being aware of the different stages of life associated with ageing and retirement, such as diet, exercise,  conditions and diseases associated with ageing.

This November 14th is World Diabetes Day supporting essential care and guidance for all people with diabetes or prevent the possibilities of acquiring diabetes.
