JewishCare held its sixth and final citizenship ceremony in the beautiful grounds of Fischl House Woollahra.
This unique annual community event that has become an important part of the communal calendar. As JewishCare was formed 75 years ago to help Jews escape Nazi ravaged Europe this ceremony provides an ongoing link to our past.
Next year’s event will be held in the rapidly progressing new headquarters for JewishCare at Saber St Bondi Junction (corner Newland Street).
In this year’s citizenship ceremony 14 conferees from 4 continents and 7 countries had their citizenship conferred by The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull , Member for Wentworth. 2 Rabbis (Rabbi Wolff from Central Synagogue and Rabbi Jacobsen from Emanuel Synagogue) became citizens on the day.

JewishCare’s Annual General Meeting on 23 November 2011 at Burger Centre at 4pm.
White Ribbon Day’s Men's breakfast on 25th November at Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay at 8am, with guest speaker John Brogden.
Breakfast with David Gonski on 30th November to present the many benefits of providing employment opportunities for people with a disability. This will be held at Vibe City Hotel from 8am.
The first ever Big Brother Big Sister Alumni event at the Vibe Hotel, Rushcutters Bay from 6 pm on 11 December.
