Have you heard of JewishCare’s Links Program for seniors?

JewishCare commenced its Links Program in July 2006 on the North Shore and in the Eastern Suburbs to connect local volunteers with older members of the community.

The volunteers provide social support to clients who are living at home and may be socially isolated.

The support is usually by way of regular one on one activities which may include:

· Home visiting
· Help with correspondence
· Reading
· Going for a walk
· Going out for coffee
· Playing games e.g. Chess or scrabble

JewishCare's Aged Case Work Team often refers older people who are isolated, lonely and in need of a friendly chat to brighten up their day.

If you or someone you know may be of benefit from the Links Program please call JewishCare’s First Call on 1300133660

The program coordinator will contact you to arrange a home visit and discuss the program with you.

We are always looking for new volunteers for our Links Program so if you are interested in becoming a volunteer please call First Call on 1300133660.
